Inferno’s NFL Week 7 Predictions

Detroit Lions 27 vs Atlanta Falcons 24 - Inferno’s Pick: Lions

The Atlanta Falcons’ defense just can’t be trusted; even if it is against the Lions. It’s going to be a close matchup but the Falcons’ defense will find a way to blow an early lead, again.

Cleveland Browns 21 vs. Cincinnati Bengals 28- Inferno’s Pick: Bengals

The Browns have the better record, but the Bengals have an edge at the starting quarterback position. The Browns’ uncertainty at the quarterback position won’t necessarily help improve their offense this weekend. Joey B is looking to redeem himself after throwing a costly interception last week to end the game against Indianapolis. Though the Bengals have struggled this season, I believe this is the week that Joey B leads the Cincinnati offense past the Cleveland defense at home. Bengals win by 7.

Pittsburgh Steelers 28 vs. Tennessee Titans 31 - Inferno’s Pick: Titans

Two of the toughest teams in the AFC will square up in what could be a potential playoff preview. Both teams are well-coached and talented on offense. The difference, however, will come down to whoever can play the best defense. The Titans need to stop “Big Ben” and the Steelers need to find a way to contain Derrick Henry and Tennessee’s ground-and-pound running game. In the end, I think the Titans will defeat the Steelers in a last-minute drive.

Carolina Panthers 28 vs. 24 New Orleans Saints- Inferno’s Pick: Panthers

The Saints are heavily favorited in this game, but don’t count out the young and scrappy Panthers. Both Emmanuel Sanders and Michael Thomas are ruled out for this game, leaving Drew Brees extremely vulnerable on offense. Plus, the New Orleans secondary is sloppy and is susceptible to giving up big plays. Carolina will pull off the upset this weekend on the road.

Buffalo Bills 35 vs. 18 New York Jets- Inferno’s Pick: Bills

Unless the Metlife turf magically injures half of the Bills’ team, this matchup is a no-contest. Bills cruise past the Jets in this one.

Dallas Cowboys 31 vs. 18 Washington- Inferno’s Pick: Cowboys

The Cowboys are in desperate need of redemption after their blowout loss to Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals last week. Luckily they tend to play better on the road than they do at home. This is the perfect week to achieve that redemption as they face a weak and mediocre Washington team on the road. Cowboys take this one easily.

Green Bay Packers 28 vs. 21 Houston Texans- Inferno’s Pick: Packers

The Texans still have many internal issues that they have yet to fully resolve. Plus, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are looking to avenge last week’s sloppy road loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs. I believe Rodgers will be able to bounce back this week and put up a stellar performance. Packers take this one on the road.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24 vs. 31 Las Vegas Raiders- Inferno’s Pick: Raiders

The Bucs just picked up a huge offensive weapon in Antonio Brown but the Raiders are difficult to beat at home. Not to mention, Tom Brady isn’t as mobile and therefore may have a tough time against Las Vegas’ pass rushers. I believe the Raider defense will pressure Brady to commit multiple unforced errors. This game will be close, but the Raiders will come away with a one touchdown victory.

Kansas City Chiefs 31 vs. 21 Denver Broncos- Inferno’s Pick: Chiefs

The Broncos made a strong statement after defeating the Patriots in Foxborough last week. However, Kansas City is still the team to beat in the AFC. Mahomes and Co. will take advantage of the thin air to pick apart the young Bronco defense with their passing game. Meanwhile the Chiefs defense will dominate on their side of the ball as well. Chiefs cruise in this game on the road.

San Francisco 49ers 24 vs. 27 New England Patriots - Inferno’s Pick: Patriots

In my opinion, the 49ers are too injury-plagued to matchup against Bill Belichick’s squad. However, tight-end George Kittle is San Francisco’s secret weapon and should provide the offensive spark for the 49ers in this game. Yet, in the end, I think the 49er’s numerous injuries will catch up to them and they will lose a nail-biter in Foxborough.

Jacksonville Jaguars 18 vs. 30 Los Angeles Chargers- Inferno’s Pick: Chargers

This is the week Justin Herbert turns in a stellar performance and the Chargers offense gets their confidence back. Barring any injuries, the Los Angeles defense should also dominate and contain Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars’ offense. Chargers cruise in this game at home.

Seattle Seahawks 31 vs. 24 Arizona Cardinals (Sunday Night Football)- Inferno’s Pick: Seahawks

Kyler Murray is playing his greatest football yet, but unfortunately for him, so are Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. The young and resilient Seattle defense can match Murray’s incredible foot speed and therefore make it difficult for him to accumulate big yards with his legs. Wilson will continue to play MVP-caliber football and tear apart the Cardinal defense. Seattle takes this one on the road.

Chicago Bears 21 vs. 30 Los Angeles Rams (Monday Night Football) - Inferno’s Pick: Rams

The Bears appear to have overcome their past offensive struggles but they still have the tendency to choke late in games and blow leads. Meanwhile Jared Goff has turned in consistently solid performances for Sean McVay’s squad. Also, the Rams defense will be disruptive and force the Bears’ starting quarterback to commit many unforced errors throughout the night. Rams take this one at home.
