NFL Week 3 Predictions

Grab your popcorn NFL fans, because Week 3 features some exciting matchups. Joe Burrow is still looking for his first NFL win, 11 teams look to remain undefeated and two MVP quarterbacks face-off on Monday Night Football.

Chicago Bears 35 vs Atlanta Falcons 21

The Atlanta defense blew a huge halftime lead last week, but can they redeem themselves against Mitch Trubisky and the Bears? I don’t believe so. My vote goes to the undefeated Bears.

LA Rams 38 vs Buffalo Bills 35

Offensive showdown up in Buffalo with two solid quarterbacks in Jared Goff (Rams) and Josh Allen (Bills). In the end, Los Angeles head coach Sean McVay’s offensive schemes will prevail and Rams will remain undefeated.

Washington 21 vs Cleveland Browns 28

Matchup between two average teams in Cleveland. Baker Mayfield is determined to make a statement and prove why he deserves to be the Browns’ starting quarterback. Browns win by seven.

Tennessee Titans 38 vs Minnesota Vikings 30

Titans’ running back Derrick Henry is a force to be reckoned with. He’ll be looking to build off of last week’s success and attack Vikings’ defensive backs. Tennessee will remain undefeated.

Las Vegas Raiders 27 vs New England Patriots 30

The Raiders dominated the Saints on Monday Night Football, but Brees isn’t a dual-threat quarterback like the Patriots’ Cam Newton. Raiders drop this one in Foxborough against Bill Belichick’s squad.

San Francisco 49er’s 42 vs New York Giants 21

Metlife Stadium’s turf seems to be cursed, which doesn’t favor the injury-plagued 49er’s. Either way, this match is a no contest. San Francisco will crush the Giants.

Cincinnati Bengals 30 vs Philadelphia Eagles 33

Rookie quarterback Joe Burrow seeks his first NFL win, but the Eagles are desperate for their first win. Nothing more dangerous than a cornered animal. Philly takes this one with a last minute field goal.

Houston Texans 24 vs Pittsburgh Steelers 45

Houston is playing sloppy and Big Ben looks to be in the best shape of his life. Roethlisberger and company take this one easily at home.

New York Jets 18 vs Indianapolis Colts 30

Philip Rivers turned in a solid performance last week but couldn’t come away with the win. Rivers and the Colts cruise by Jets at home in this one.

Carolina Panthers 28 vs 35 Los Angeles Chargers

Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert had an impressive debut last week for the Chargers. My guess is he repeats his excellent showing and the Los Angeles defense steps up in key situations. I have Chargers over Panthers.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 35 vs Denver Broncos 30

Tom Brady earned his first victory as a Buccaneer last week at home, but this week they’re in Denver against a young and hungry Bronco team. Brady will find his rhythm, but this game will come down to the wire. Bucs beat Broncos in Denver.

Detroit Lions 20 vs 33 Arizona Cardinals

Young quarterback Kyler Murray will be too much for Lions to handle. Arizona will improve to 3-0 after Sunday’s matchup.

Dallas Cowboys 21 vs 42 Seattle Seahawks

Dallas sneaked away with a win last week against Atlanta but the Seahawk’s defense is relentless. Plus, quarterback Russell Wilson is making a case for MVP this year with his performance. All Seattle in this one.

Green Bay Packers 38 vs 41 New Orleans Saints (Sunday Night Football)

Two veteran quarterbacks with the ability to score at any time. No crowd noise in NOLA will benefit Packers but the Saints are hungry for redemption after losing to the Raiders on Monday. This game will go into over-time. Saints steal a victory at home.

Kansas City Chiefs 42 vs 45 Baltimore Ravens (Monday Night Football)

Patrick Mahomes vs Lamar Jackson. Maybe the start of a new AFC rivalry similar to Brady vs Manning? Mahomes showed vulnerability against the Charger defense last week and Baltimore’s offense is relentless. Jackson is coming off an MVP campaign and shows no signs of slowing down. This game is bound to go into over-time, but I have Baltimore winning at home.
