Inferno’s Picks: NFL Week 4 Predictions

Indianapolis Colts 30 vs. 21 Chicago Bears- Inferno’s pick: Colts

Last week the Colts bounced back nicely, cruising past the Jets with a 36-7 victory. This week shouldn’t be as easy, however. Bears’ quarterback Nick Foles knows how to win and can potentially be a challenge for Indianapolis. But, defense wins championships and the Colts’ defense is legit— top overall defense in the NFL according to ESPN. If the Colts’ defense can contain Foles and company, quarterback Philip Rivers should be able to hold his end of the bargain.

Jacksonville Jaguars 21 vs. 28 Cincinnati Bengals- Inferno’s pick: Bengals

I’m rooting for Joey B to finally attain his first NFL victory as a starting quarterback. However, he needs his offensive line to step up and protect him while he’s in the pocket. Burrow has been sacked a league-leading 14 times, per ESPN. Regardless, I believe this is the week that Burrow gets his first NFL win.

Cleveland Browns 14 vs. 38 Dallas Cowboys- Inferno’s pick: Cowboys

The Cowboys played a tightly contested game on the road against the Seattle Seahawks last week. However, they played sloppy their first home against the Atlanta Falcons. If the Cowboys offense can protect the football, they should be able to obliterate a mediocre Browns team down at Jerry’s World.

New Orleans Saints 35 vs. 14 Detroit Lions - Inferno’s pick: Saints

The Saints are looking to avenge their two tough losses to Las Vegas Raiders and the Green Bay Packers. The Saints are obviously the superior team but good teams tend to struggle playing in Detroit. If the Saints play at an elite level, this game is a no-contest.

Seattle Seahawks 42 vs. 18 Miami Dolphins- Inferno’s pick: Seahawks

Russell Wilson is playing like an MVP and Seattle’s defense is relentless. There’s nothing much to say other than if Seattle plays a clean game, the Dolphins have no shot at winning.

Los Angeles Chargers 21 vs. 38 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Inferno’s pick: Bucs

Tom Brady is still the G.O.A.T and he has the offensive weapons necessary to make the Chargers’ defense a living nightmare. Also, the Chargers’ defense is injury-depleted as they will be without four defensive starters, per ESPN. Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert is progressing well, but he is still prone to make rookie mistakes. Bucs cruise past Chargers this week.

Baltimore Ravens 45 vs. 17 Washington- Inferno’s pick: Ravens

The Ravens are still licking their wounds from the ambush they received courtesy of the Kansas City Chiefs. However, they still have a legit defense and Lamar Jackson is still an elite dual-threat quarterback. The Ravens should take this one easily in Washington.

Arizona Cardinals 28 vs. 31 Carolina Panthers- Inferno’s pick: Panthers

Arguably one of the most even matchups of the week, this game will feature two agile quarterbacks. Arizona’s Kyler Murray has stepped up this season and is establishing himself as a solid starting quarterback. Meanwhile Panthers’ quarterback Terry Bridgewater has fit in well into Joe Brady’s offensive schemes. This game will come down to the wire and will be decided by a last minute field goal. Panthers escape with the victory at home.

Minnesota Vikings 28 vs. 35 Houston Texans- Inferno’s pick: Texans

In a winless team matchup, the Texans are due for a win. The Vikings had to close their facilities this week due to positive COVID-19 test within their organization, which limited their practice time this week. Houston’s Deshaun Watson and running back Dalvin Cook are ready to explode with a huge performance. Texans take this game.

New York Giants 14 vs. 45 Los Angeles Rams- Inferno’s pick: Rams

The Giants should not even show up to this game, they have no shot at winning. The Rams are just too good and too stacked. Rams cruise in this game.

New England Patriots 28 vs. 35 Kansas City Chiefs- Inferno’s pick: Chiefs

On Monday, the Chiefs proved that they’re the team to beat with No.15 under center. However, this week they’re up against legendary defensive mastermind Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Yet, on Monday, the Chiefs showed that they’re more than capable of adding a few wrinkles to their playbook to keep opposing defenses off-balance. Chiefs take this one by one touchdown.

Buffalo Bills 32 vs. 35 Las Vegas Raiders- Inferno’s pick: Raiders

Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen has had an impressive showing but his hopes of leading the Bills to a perfect season will come to an end at the Raiders’ new “Death Star” (Allegiant Stadium). The Raiders are seeking to avenge last week’s road loss to Cam Newton and the Patriots and you can bet your money that Jon Gruden’s Raiders will be looking to make a statement this week. Though it will be close, I believe the Raiders defense will come up clutch in this one to seal the game for Las Vegas at home.

Philadelphia Eagles 23 vs. 28 San Francisco 49ers (Sunday Night Football) Inferno’s pick: 49ers

The Eagles are not in a good spot at the moment. Carson Wentz has the lowest passer rating in the NFL and has turned the ball over seven times, per ESPN. The 49ers are injury depleted however star tight end George Kittle is expected to return this week. It will be a close game down in Santa Clara, but the 49ers will find a way to win on Sunday Night Football.

Atlanta Falcons 24 vs. 35 Green Bay Packers (Monday Night Football) Inferno’s pick: Packers

Aaron Rodgers is currently playing at an elite level and he seems to be unstoppable. The Falcons are currently winless after blowing two big leads in the past two games. Let’s remember though, a wounded animal is a dangerous animal. Therefore, the Packers shouldn’t take the Falcons lightly. The key to victory for Green Bay will be to protect Rodgers at all costs. If they can do that effectively, everything else should fall into place.
